Beyond Prediction: Accelerating Breeding Outcomes
Advances in genomics, AI, and predictive breeding are rapidly improving our ability to model, prioritize, and refine crop genotypes for product discovery and commercialization. At the same time, traditional plant breeding has been handicapped by long cycles, regulations and lack of resources. This roundtable will explore how progress in genotype prediction and genome assembly must advance together to deliver meaningful gains in crop improvement. Participants will discuss emerging approaches in AI, breeding, biological execution, and how tighter integration between prediction and assembly can accelerate the development of resilient, high-performing crop varieties.
