Announcement // RAAPID: Closing Critical Information Gaps for Global Food Security and Market Stability
Following the announcement of the RAAPID (Rapid Agricultural Assessments for Policy Impact and Decision-making) initiative at the 56th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, this session convenes senior agri-food leaders from public and private sectors to examine how satellite data with AI-enabled analytics can help address urgent food system disruptions. First developed within NASA Harvest and now incubated under the Rockefeller Foundation’s Catalytic Capital (RFCC), and co-founded with Microsoft AI for Good Lab, Google.org, and Planet, RAAPID delivers rapid, decision-ready agricultural intelligence to support policy, humanitarian, and market stability.
