Start-Up Spotlight: American Prime on Connecting Space Intelligence with Action in the Field

After pitching in the Start-Up Arena at World Agri-Tech San Francisco 2026, American Prime has gone on to win NASA backing for a new crop insurance project. We hear how the summit fitted into its journey.

The Start-Up Arena at World Agri-Tech gives early-stage innovators a stage to share their vision with the investors, corporates and growers shaping the future of agriculture.

American Prime presented in the Start-Up Arena at the 2026 San Francisco summit, sharing how it combines satellite intelligence with physical AI to help agricultural businesses decide where to act. Since then, NASA has selected the company’s proposal to co-develop a product with a crop insurance partner. We spoke to [Name, Title] about the experience and what comes next.

Why did you take part in World Agri-Tech San Francisco, and how did you find the experience?

We joined to introduce American Prime to a broader agricultural community and connect with potential customers, strategic partners, and investors. It was a valuable opportunity to share our work and explore how satellite intelligence combined with physical AI can address practical challenges in agriculture.

What was your standout moment at the summit?

Presenting American Prime in the Startup Arena was a highlight. It gave us an opportunity to share our vision of connecting intelligence from space with action in the field, helping agricultural businesses understand where attention is needed and plan their next steps.

What’s changed for you since? Any wins, milestones, partnerships, or funding news?

Since the summit, NASA selected our proposal to co-develop a product with a crop insurance partner. The project aims to streamline claims processing, make high-resolution satellite imagery more affordable, and help reduce preventable crop losses. We’ve also continued advancing AP Intelligence, validated our crop mapping approach, and showcased an early version of AP Drone Hub focused on mission readiness.

What’s got you most excited in ag right now?

The opportunity to make satellite data, weather information, and AI useful in everyday agricultural decisions. I’m particularly excited about helping people identify which fields need attention, understand what is changing, and decide where to act. Connecting that intelligence with field operations is central to what we’re building.

What’s your top tip for start-ups thinking about attending?

Arrive with clear objectives and arrange relevant meetings ahead of time. Be specific about the problem you solve and the people you want to meet. Make time to listen and follow up with a concrete next step after the summit.

What are your plans for the 2027 summit?

I’d welcome a conversation about returning in 2027, showcasing our progress, and exploring commercial and strategic partnerships. I would love to share the advancement in terms of data protection, ownership, and trustworthiness in the age of AI.

Could your start-up be next?

World Agri-Tech returns to the San Francisco Marriott Marquis on 9–10 March 2027, and we’re now inviting start-ups to register their interest in exhibiting and pitching in the Start-Up Arena. As American Prime’s advice shows, the start-ups that get the most from the summit arrive with clear goals and a plan for who they want to meet.
