A featured scale-up at World Agri-Tech San Francisco 2026, Ancient Organics Bioscience shares what the summit meant for its business and its advice for start-ups considering 2027.
Every year, the Start-Up Arena at World Agri-Tech brings together some of the most exciting early-stage innovators in food and agriculture, giving them a platform to meet investors, corporates and potential partners from across the value chain.
Ancient Organics Bioscience was selected as a featured scale-up at the 2026 San Francisco summit. The company develops microbial solutions designed to restore soil health, reduce chemical inputs and produce cleaner, healthier food. We caught up with the team to hear about their experience, what has happened since, and their advice for the next cohort of start-ups.

The experience exceeded our expectations in both the quality of the conversations and the opportunities for meaningful collaboration.
What was your standout moment at the summit?Being selected as a featured scale-up and having the opportunity to introduce Ancient Organics’ soil health platform to a global audience of agricultural leaders and investors. It was particularly rewarding to see the growing recognition that restoring soil biology is fundamental to improving agricultural productivity, resilience, and food quality.

Any wins, milestones, partnerships, or funding news?We have continued advancing the commercialization of our microbial soil health platform, increasing our distribution footprint, and building on deployment across more than 80,000 acres and 25 crop types in North America. Our focus is on securing strategic partnerships, accelerating development of our next-generation biological products, and engaging investors to support our next phase of growth.
What’s got you most excited in ag right now?The growing recognition that healthy soil is the foundation of healthy food. The next agricultural revolution will not be driven by more chemistry, but by a deeper understanding of biology.
