Douglas Wood
Douglas Wood is a GIS Database Administrator at Trinchero Family Estates, where he brings more than two decades of geospatial experience to vineyard and agricultural operations. A Sonoma Valley native, Douglas discovered his passion for land, maps, and culture early, later earning a B.A. in Anthropology from Grinnell College and an M.S. in Geography from Oregon State University.
At Trinchero, he leads the administration of the ArcGIS Online platform for a 60+ member multidisciplinary team, builds mobile and web applications for vineyard data collection, and oversees critical functions including pest & disease scouting, yield projections, harvest reporting, vineyard appraisal, and weather-station management. Widely recognized for advancing data-driven decision-making in viticulture, Douglas focuses on practical, intuitive solutions that bridge field teams, technology, and leadership.
Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, traveling, and coaching soccer, and serves on the boards of Sonoma Valley United Soccer and Sonoma Valley’s Field of Dreams.
