Martin Ruebelt
Dr. Martin Ruebelt is a senior R&D and product development leader with more than 25 years of experience translating science into consumer-relevant products across row crops and vegetables. As Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Research and Development at NatureSweet, North America’s leading vertically integrated controlled-environment agriculture company, he leads innovation spanning variety selection and development, differentiated product and packaging design, and commercialization, with a focus on delivering superior eating quality, convenience, and brand value at scale.
Previously, Dr. Ruebelt held global leadership roles at Monsanto and Bayer Crop Science, including Head of Global Consumer R&D for Vegetables at Bayer, where he drove innovation pipelines and successful product launches in highly competitive markets. His contributions have been recognized through his appointment as both a Monsanto Science Fellow and a Bayer Science Fellow.
Dr. Ruebelt holds a master’s degree in Food Chemistry from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and a Ph.D. in Food and Biochemistry from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
