Raina Nelson
Raina Nelson is President of Westfalia Fruit Marketing USA, leading the U.S. business of Westfalia Fruit International, the global avocado experts with one of the largest avocado-growing footprints in the world across 5 continents and 18 countries.
She holds both a B.S. in Food Science and Human Nutrition and an M.S. in Food Science from the University of Florida College of Agricultural & Life Sciences and brings more than 20 years of experience across food safety, quality systems, global sourcing, sales, supply chain, and business development.
Raina has served as Chairperson of the Southeast Produce Council and the board of the International Fresh Produce Association. She serves on advisory councils for Bayer Crop Science North American Horticultural Council and the Hass Avocado Board, and is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization. She is the 2023 recipient of the Frieda Rapoport Caplan Women's Catalyst Award.
She is passionate about sustainable agriculture, increasing fresh produce consumption, and developing the next generation of leaders in the industry.
