The Research, Education, and Economics (REE) Mission Area includes four research and statistics agencies (ARS, NIFA, ERS, NASS) and the Office of the Chief Scientist. Prior to USDA, he served as the Global R&D Leader for Dow Agrosciences and chaired the corporate innovation investment forum. He holds a Ph.D. in entomology from Iowa State University.
