XPRIZE Moonshot Innovation Workshop

The XPRIZE Moonshot Innovation Workshop invites visionary leaders, technologists, investors, and agricultural experts to co-create a transformative vision for the 2050 future of agriculture. Participants will be challenged to envision climate-positive agricultural systems that manage carbon, deliver ecosystem services, and create new economic opportunities through innovative uses of marginal lands and transformed bioeconomy supply chains. Using a back-casting approach, the workshop will identify core barriers and develop prize concepts aimed at driving transformative change.

Workshop Goals

  • Envision Agriculture in 2050: Explore a future where agriculture is a central force for climate action.
  • Identify Barriers: Back-cast to determine obstacles to this future and ideate breakthrough solutions.
  • Design XPRIZE Competitions: Develop ambitious prize concepts targeting innovations in agriculture and MRV technologies to enable the 2050 vision.
